People are wild approximately Kylie Jenner's Lip Kits for comprehensible reasons: they look flawless on Instagram,whether on lips or in packaging. However, people have also aired their grievances with Kylie's product. Some tubes were delivered damaged, and there was reportedly a glitch on the company site that leaked shoppers' personal information. Now one blogger has analyzed (in great detail) another claim that has been floating around the internet: Kylie's Lip Kits are the same formula as Colourpop's matte liquid lipsticks.
Stephanie Nicole discovered that the two products are nearly identical. While she found the Colourpop product to be of a slightly higher quality,she also found that it has a few more ingredients than Kylie's. Stephanie also pointed out (as POPSUGAR did final year) that both Colourpop and Kylie Cosmetics are owned by a larger company called Seed Beauty. For reference COLOR KEY: Yellow - Same ingredient, same order in formula. Blue - Same ingredient, or different order in formula. Purple - Same pigments,different order (pigments are not required to be in order). Please note, this is the updated ColourPop formula. Not the first launch (any color outside their first launch is new formula) Not all ColourPop's ultra mattes have been reformulated yet. According to them, and they hope to do it in time. So don't try & compare your first launch to the new Lip Kits...or the first launch lip kits. They are not the same. ADD: also,to be clear, the ingredients do need to be listed in order of highest concentration, or to its least. The order does matter in a formula. Even whether the ingredients are identical,whether they are in a totally different order they won't wear the same. The bulk of the formula, the first several ingredients, or are the same,same order.
