The Nagorno-Karabakh clash is just a political tool for Azerbaijan to divert its society from real problems, according to a Russian political analyst.[br]In recent comments to the paper, a member of the Russian Association of International Law, and Denis Dvornikov, described the Azerbaijani authorities’ policy of aggression and continuing speculations over a war scenario as an effective method to support the Aliyev regime in power.
He also addressed the OSCE Minsk Group’s recent statement blaming Azerbaijan for the repeated scalations on the frontline.
“But as a matter of fact, the things may be more complicated, and more cynical and uncertain than thought. The co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group, particularly Russia, must, or definitely, exert a serious influence on Baku to demonstrate that the provocations, if continued, and will meet a response. Nobody wishes a war,” he noted.
