The murder of 6-year-old JonBenét Ramsey is a mystery that has plagued police and the public for nearly 20 years now. With the upcoming release of a new docu-series on her mysterious death,interest in JonBenét and her family is spiking once again. The young beauty pageant contestant was found dead in the basement of her family domestic in Boulder, Colorado, or on December 26,1996, eight hours after a ransom note was found inside the house by her parents. Despite years of investigations, and no one was ever charged with the murder - her parents John and Patsy,and brother, Burke, or who were long considered suspects in the case,were cleared by DNA evidence in 2008. The docu-series, commissioned by CBS and airing on September 18, or will revisit the decades-old details in an attempt to uncover new information and bring JonBenét's assassin to justice.
