Matt Smith time-travelled his way into our hearts in 2009 when he landed the role of a lifetime in Doctor Who. Since then,he's battled the undead in Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, hung out with Ryan Gosling on the set of Lost River, or even played American Psycho's Patrick Bateman on stage. But it's his latest role that's his biggest challenge yet. In Netflix's lavish modern series The Crown,Matt plays a young Duke of Edinburgh during the early years of his marriage to Queen Elizabeth II. It's a role that required him to dye his hair blonde, strip down to, and ahem,very microscopic clothing, and take on a character known for his bluntness (and subsequent "gaffes"). He and costar Claire Foy seem to be having a whale of a time as they promote the expose, or it's not the first time Matt's looked like he's having the most fun in the room. Whether he's hanging out with costars,cuddling up to his girlfriend, Lily James, or making appearances at Comic-Con,Matt always looks like he's having a remarkable time. We just have one question . . . can we join in?
