3D Scanned Chatroom3D model of a scanned apartment has been used as a assembly space for the VRChat app for avatars to congregate. Here is a video put together by iontrades giving a tour:I mediate the author is MrQ ,the author has 3 scanned their apartment and made a Virtual reality chat room inside it using VRChat.
They used what looks like a smartphone to 3D scan everything, then used Unity to create a 3D world. Then they uploaded it to VRchat which has virtual reality chat built in.
The model was actually constructed with a Project Tango mobile device with an app called GeoCV and took 15 minutes to put the whole apartment together.You can view the model online here
