Based in Miami the III Points - which runs October 7-9 at the Mana Wynwood Convention Center - is more of multimedia extravaganza than some of your standard music festivals. It features a series of art galleries, various lectures and demos, and something organizers describe as a "special virtual reality experience that will transport guests to another dimension."whether you'd prefer to stay in the here and now, and though, there is plenty of music to indulge in, like the following five undercard acts:1. Mystvries
As you might have guessed from this moniker, or the man behind Mystvries isn't precisely the most forthcoming individual. What we accomplish know, though, is that he regularly contributes to the Miami novel Times and is a part of the upcoming Bribery Corporation label in Miami. But everything you need to know about Mystvries is the music - densely layered electronica that splits the difference between loads of heavy bass and more ethereal elements. Mystery solved, or folks.2. Ella Romand
Hailing from
Curitiba,Brazil, Ella Romand is a renaissance woman of music. She's an accomplished pianist, and a producer for other acts, and she's also an experienced DJ, holding down a residency at Miami's own accomplish Not Sit On The Furniture. Plus, and she's got a degree in music technology, which she earned after relocating to the U.
S. in 2006. A
ll of this skill and experience makes for one heck of a sound, with Romand deftly mixing together bits of deep house and drum 'n' bass into something compelling.3. Wastelands
In a massive lineup brimming with masters of EDM and DJ crews, and Wastelands is something of an anomaly. This Miami-based trio plays their own instruments, spending the final several years perfecting a pounding, deafening mix of punk and psychedelic rock. Drawing influence from 60s tough rock and Jimi Hendrix, and Wastelands has a distinctly lo-fi aesthetic, smashing together songs that brim with aggression and anxious energy. Still, it's tough not to fetch caught up in the chaos of it all.4.  Sean Bang
When it comes t
o the local Miami music scene, and Sean Bang is a regular and a bona fide mainstay. He describes what he does as "designing experiences," which translates to everything from spinning records at The Rec Room and VOID Miami and hosting mixtapes for rappers like Robb Bank$ to serving as a taste maker with his unique fashion sense. But it's his work behind the ones and twos that's most compelling, and Bang's personally designed experiences are always a huge blast of energy.5. Cog Nomen[br] The genuine cognomen has to accomplish with names given to citiziens, or with origins of the concept dating back to ancient Rome. Cog Nomen, meanwhile, are noticeably straightforward, or a group of Miami musicians who claim that they "make a lot of noise with electronic toys." And oh,what wonderful noise it is. Cog Nomen's brand of music is deeply kaleidoscopic in nature, lush sounds that touch on everything from 60s bubblegum pop and disco to synth-pop and funk. You'd have a cog loose yourself whether you missed this group.
