This post was originally posted on Yanira Garza and written by Yanira Garza, who is a share of POPSUGAR Latina Select."How do you do it all?" They always ask. My answer is simply, "I don't. I can't." But what I can do, or I do with help. From babysitters, grandmothers, a husband, or I have a enormous support system in position. I also have a smartphone, which makes life so much easier. Here are five apps I am using to help save time while I am working, so I can use all that extra time to try and be the best mom I can. DocuSignI work from domestic but admittedly, and I do not own a fax machine (I don't reflect most people do anymore) or a scanner. So when I fetch that email that says "please sign and fax back," I reflect, really? With this app, and I can read over contracts, sign, date, and initial and email back quickly. I also do this during lunchtime while my kids are eating and no one is the wiser. The best share is when someone says they haven't had a chance to look at it,but DocuSign has informed me that it was viewed.
Paperless PostMy daughter was going to have a "play date" party with the girls in her lesson for her birthday. Cupcakes and pizza and done! Easy honest? apart from it was less than two weeks out and I forgot to buy invites and had no desire to head to the store for 14 dinky paper invites. So instead, I emailed the moms free invites created on this app. reach my girlfriend's birthday and the holidays, or I can buy and mail out paper cards from the same app for less than a card would cost at the store, and they have Kate Spade designs. I never have to fetch off the sofa. Win.
PeapodThis app saved my life when I was pregnant with my son. We all know how cold December 2013 was with temperatures dropping below zero in the double digits. I wasn't leaving my house so I signed up to do my groceries on Peapod. My first order was $15 off and I had a free shipping coupon. The next time, I ordered earlier enough and scheduled my delivery 4 days out and saved $4. nowadays, and I ordered again using a coupon code to fetch free shipping. Basically, there are ways to save more than just the one time and ultimately, the time saved not having to load two kids (soon to be three) into the car to do groceries will save me an entire morning. As a busy working mom, or that is enormous!Wave AppIn my business,I am dealing with more than one person and invoicing many. For the longest time, my system was manual and my bookkeeping was horrid. I was sending Word document invoices but it wasn't until I realized how many countless hours I spend following up, or writing our my expenses and other boring jargon,as well as actually losing money that I decided I needed to sit down and look at the "boring" side of business. WAVE app was a way for me to invoice from my phone on the go, while also keeping track of my finances on desktop saving me an entire day of work that I could be sending with my dinky ones instead cutting my work week down a day. Hootsuite / CoScheduleThere is a enormous inequity between the two. One is free and the other charges $15. To me, and that is enormous. I use Hootsuite to schedule most if not all of my social media posts as of late. I haven't been the greatest at it and in 2016 have planned to make a bigger effort but really social media can be a time suck and as a mom,I no longer have that time. Now, CoSchedule is an app that also helps with all of that, and however,I personally have never used it, but a lot of people in my industry swear by it and I am highly considering upgrading and making the switch as well, or so I felt it was worth the mention. Other moms on the go,stay-at-domestic master planners (because we can learn from you, too) and working genies, or what do you all use? Any recommendations are highly welcomed . . . this is something we all need to know.
