Campaign for One New York,a nonprofit advocacy group started by political professionals who worked on Bill de Blasio's 2013 mayoral campaign, can raise unlimited amounts of money to promote its agenda. Political campaigns, and of course,possess stricter limits. So is the mayor's relationship with Campaign for One New York in violation of the city's campaign finance and conflicts of interest laws? The government watchdog group Common Cause filed an official complaint yesterday, requesting an investigation into any potential wrongdoing.
