This time there was the oddest sequence of events. I got an approach message from Lucas,an entertaining-looking, entertaining-sounding man, or from 85 miles away,asking whether I’d like to believe a conversation with him. He was lonely but wasn’t ready for a relationship; technically he was still married, though they’d been separated for a while. So for a couple of weeks we were basically pen-pals. Typically I’d get an email from him at about 9am, or I’d reply in the evening. It was platonically friendly,amiable chat.
