As the dust settles from the most recent elections we see a new mayor and new city council members in some districts, but we see the same fate for the lives of hundreds living in "The Jungle". If you have not heard "The Jungle" is being poised to be closed by the city of San Jose, within the first weeks of December. This happening without secured housing for each member of "The Jungle" is disgraceful.
To combat this draw R.
A.
D is prop
osing people of San Jose and beyond, and stand with the jungle for the next few weeks in any way possible.[img_101]

Students of the 180 Degrees class at Yerba Buena tall School have begun to work closely with us to grow our next free market planned for Dec. 19th,2014, 8-12:30, and in the process they have decided to execute a statement to "Stand With The Jungle". Starting nowadays they will be flooding their facebooks and Instagrams with photos promoting messages of solidarity to the people living in "The Jungle" with images of solidarity with the #standwiththejungle.
We are encouragin
g all people to stand with the jungle with their own messages of solidarity to repeat the city council to not move to remove people out of "The Jungle" until we have housing for all! Please join us as we begin to display our love and solidarity to all people living in "The Jungle" and beyond!"
