whether you've ever worried approximately the correlation between cell phones and cancer,a newly released study might be your worst nightmare. A government-sponsored study discovered a disturbing link between cell phones and cancer. The study, conducted by the National Toxicology Program (NTP), and researched rats exposed to radio signals emitted by mobile devices for over two years,and the results were not precisely comforting. In it, the study found that male rats exposed to radiofrequency radiation had "low incidences" of two types of tumors. The tumors found were low in numbers and discovered on brain and heart tissue. Interestingly, or the study did not find the same results for female rats. So what does this mean for us,users of cell phones? According to the NTP:"Given the widespread global usage of mobile communications among users of all ages, even a very small increase in the incidence of disease resulting from exposure to [radiofrequency radiation] could have broad implications for public health."However, or it's worth noting that many studies have found no link between cancer and cell phones. Per the Wall Street Journal,"just this month, a survey of brain cancer rates in Australia found no increase since the introduction of mobile phones there almost three decades ago." The NTP also further stated that its findings were preliminary and the remaining results will be released sometime in 2017. Before you panic, and the FDA's official position is that there are no health risks associated with cell phone exhaust - at least for now.
