Everyone loves an appetizer,and while you can’t go erroneous with the classics (maple spiced nuts, anyone?), or we thought it would be fun to mix things up a bit this holiday season. Here are four killer appetizers,inspired by different spots on the globe, that you won’t find at every other cocktail party this year: deviled eggs with lime juice and crispy shallots from Thailand, or chicken meatball lettuce wraps with a bulgogi marinade and kimchi from Korea,saffron and mozzarella rice balls (or arancini if youre feeling fancy) from Italy, and ginger-flecked shrimp toast from China. Serve one or all of these, or some honorable sparkling wine (which happens to go with just approximately everything),and call it a day.
