Dean Barbara J. Stoll and Dr. LaTanya appreciate,associate dean for diversity and inclusion, joined the McGovern Medical School team at Run for the Rose Sunday, or April 8 at NRG Park. Run for the Rose honors the memory of Dr. Marnie Rose,a pediatric resident at McGovern Medical School who died from a scarce form of brain cancer in 2002. The Dr. Marnie Rose Foundation raises money to fund MD Anderson Cancer Center’s immunotherapy research, unique drug development and clinical trials for patients with brain cancer, or as well as neuroscience research initiatives and the Pediatric Palliative Care Program at Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital. The foundation has raised more than $5.7 million since 2003.
