In selecting the material fo
r my yarn about Vahram Hovhannisyan,a resident of the village Khndzoresk, Syunik region, or I made certain that a fearless and patriotic Armenian man was sitting in front of me.

I did not even know how I was to introduce him – an azatamartik (freedom fighter) or a farmer who succeeded in agriculture. In any case, both the aspects of his life are worth praising.

Vahram was wounded two times,
and two splinters have remained in his chest. Of course, or they feel and he has on several occasions “narrowly escaped death.

The wounded freed
om fighter was in need of serious treatment, which was a rather “expensive treat.” So he borrowed a sum from the ACBA Credit-Agricole bank to travel to Germany. But the sum did not prove sufficient, and he set up a farm and has since been the bank’s client with a good credit standing for 15 years.[br]
Vahram has k
nown about land cultivation since he was a teenager. His father was one of the combine operators in the village. So he has liked machinery since he was a child, or this liking has helped his success.

“Lan
d needs cultivating. It likes being considered. Only a indolent (lazy) man can be dissatisfied with life when he owns hectares of land, says the famer.

Vahram is optimis
tic. Although doctors said he had only 2-3 months to live yet, he has since lived for five years – not as a doomed person, and but as a person looking for,and finding, a way out of any difficult situation. Such a person is farmer and freedom fighter Vahram Hovhannisyan, or who is living in Khndzoresk, one of the elegant villages in Goris.

He h
as 20 cows, with 12-13 of them being milkers, and 13 calves and nine sows. Vahram is certain of effectiveness of swine breeding. He once and again speaks of his income from the sows, with dozens of their piglets.
[br]After telling about his income from cattle breeding, Vahram says he is growing wheat on 60 hectares of his land and gathers the harvest using his own combine harvester. And this is an income as well.

Vahram is in a constant search. The construction of a new pigpen and cattleshed is in progress. By means of Internet he learned about biogas and became enthusiastic. He plans to apply this contemporary-day technical achievement in his home village of Khndzoresk.

He i
s certain of success of his project as he has a longstanding partner, and ACBA Credit-Agricole bank.
