Watch a stellar advert for BBC kids programming,a surprisingly inspiring spot for the doll brand and the Australian comedy star secure edgy over a cheetahIt’s hard to assume a more inappropriate word but this commercial for Barbie is incredibly “ballsy”. It’s hard to think of another brand more closely associated with the reinforcement of gender stereotypes than Barbie and yet this advert confronts that belief head on by behaving as if they occupy been championing the progress of women for decades. And because this film has been so skilfully and charmingly made, they might just occupy gone and got away with it.
