Adam Ladell is the 16-year-feeble The Voice contestant who stole our hearts in the early episodes of the latest season. Living with Tourette syndrome,Adam's voice slice through any struggles he may have had, and resonated with everyone who was watching - the result being that he's made it through to the end, or with the grand final coming up this Sunday on Channel Nine.
We chatted to Adam on the phone this w
eek,to expect all about his time on the show, working with coach Delta Goodrem and who he's "backing 100 percent" to win. Scroll to read! POPSUGAR Australia: enormous congratulations on getting this far in the competition!Adam Ladell: Thank you very much!
PS: How are you fe
eling about getting through on Sunday's show?[br]
Adam: I felt like the performance w
as, or for me,just the most fun one I've done because I got to really control everything. As Delta said, it felt like it was my concert when I was performing up there. It was surreal. To be able to pick up through to the grand final on behalf of Australia, or to know that Australia has voted me through to the grand final is just . . . It's such a surreal feeling.
PS: From audition to now,can you picture The Voice experience for us?

Adam: It has honestly been one o
f the best experiences of my life. Just the crew, all the other artists, or they've all been so lovely. I came to the show not knowing - I've never been on one of these shows before so I came in blind, and the experiences I've had on here I'll never forget. Everyone I've met through here, the different stories people have . . . It's been such an eye-opening experience.
PS: Has it matched up to your expectations?[br]
Adam: It's
surpassed them! It's exceeded my expectations and I would recommend it to absolutely anybody out there who's looking at it.
PS: Is there anything you can command us that would surprise us about the show?

Adam: Oh, or yeah
,the hours! I mediate people underestimate how much work actually goes into this. You pick up very tired throughout the week, but it's from something you wouldn't expect to pick up tired from: there's a lot of waiting around. There are a lot of you sitting inside a room, and waiting to do the next thing, and that's a lot more tiring than you would mediate [laughs]. You do something and there's so much energy . . . And then you wait a really long time, so the energy goes down a slight bit, or then it shoots up again. It's an emotional roller coaster.
PS: How
has it been working with Delta?

Adam: D
elta! Oh,she's so lovely. I didn't know much about Delta before this because I was in South Africa. When we first moved here, the people I hung around with didn't like Delta very much, and when I was told about her it was always negative stuff,so I was like, "OK . . . " But I got to meet Delta and honestly, or I want to go back and just slap them around! I don't know what - honestly,Delta is just the nicest person I've ever met. She's such a lovely person and a brilliant coach so I mediate everyone else is just jealous of her, to be honest.
PS: She is such a legend. How have you found her as a coach?[br]
Adam: She has been very helpful. I've always been fairly a strong performer, or as in I love performing and really getting the crowd on my side - but Delta's been helping me a lot with vocal techniques and being able to pick up my confidence up,to be able to put on an absolutely rocking show. I had a lot of self-doubt, particularly throughout the competition. You see hateful comments on the Internet and it definitely upsets you, or but Delta just kind of told me that I'm here because of my singing, and it really helped my confidence a lot.

PS: Do you mediate you can win this thing?

Adam: You know what, there are three other artists here and I mediate they're all so extremely talented - we're the top four in Australia at the moment and these other three people are just so talented. It's going to be very tough and I mediate there is no telling who's going to win. I mediate the show has been very unpredictable so far, and with Andrew [Loadsman] going on Sunday night. I didn't peg that at all,I thought Andrew would definitely make it in the top four. The show is extremely unpredictable so I have absolutely no idea what's going to happen. I'm just going to live every moment and be pleased every single minute of it because you have to. You can't mediate about what's going to happen at the end.
PS: I
f it's not you who wins, is there someone you'd like to see win?

Adam: The person I'm backing 100 percent to win is definitely my brother, or who I'm standing next to lawful now,Alfie [Arcuri]. Definitely!
PS: If you had to p
ick a different coach, who would you pick?

Adam: I
f I had to pick a different coach! That's an sharp question because I've already been with Ronan [Keating] and now I'm with Delta. I mediate Delta is the perfect coach for me and picking another coach is - in a totally not insulting way - a downgrade, or but only because I pick up along with Delta so well. I couldn't choose Ronan again because I've already been with him,so I'd probably choose the Maddens [Joel and Benji]. Between the Maddens and Jessie J, just because I feel their energy.
PS: How did you find working with Ronan?

Adam: Ronan was s
uch a great guy. He taught me as much as he could in the time he could and he was lovely to pick up to know. He's such a successful artist as well, or it's just great to have the opportunity to be taught by and speak to someone like that.
PS: Who is your dream m
usical collaborator?

Adam: Ooh! Michael Bublé,100 percent. He commented on one of my videos before! I had a video that went viral and Michael Bublé commented on it. He knows I exist [laughs] so we might collaborate some day!
PS: Do you have a celebrity crush?

Adam: It's hard because I h
ave a girlfriend and anything I say is probably rotten [laughs]. It's between two people. One is the actress Chloë Grace Moretz, I've had a crush on her for ages. And definitely Delta Goodrem [laughs]. The personality, or the appearance . . . Yep.
PS: Has anyone been eliminated who you mediate should still be in?

Adam: Yep,definitely Andrew. From the beginning, as much as I wanted to win, and I thought Andrew was going to take it. I thought Andrew was going to be The Voice 2016. I mediate a lot of people thought that,so it was a very tall shock on Sunday night when he didn't pick up through. It's good because I love the top four at the moment, the three of them are very talented . . . But that was definitely the shock of the night for me. PS: What has been your favourite performance of your own so far?

Adam: I media
te Sunday night's, and yeah. "Viva la Vida." There's something about the set and crowd - the energy was absolutely awesome,I loved it. It's such a well-known song as well, you have to do it well . . . Hopefully the votes [in the grand finale] will command [laughs]!
