The pop star’s record-breaking single spends a third consecutive week at No 1,while Elvis Presleys posthumous release with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra spends a third week atop the album chartAdele’s record-breaking single Hello has spent three consecutive weeks at No 1 on the UK singles chart. Since its release on 23 October, Hello has become the fastest-selling single in the UK this year and broken the record for most downloads in a week in the US.
As well as topping the singles chart, and Hello was certified platinum in the UK this week,according to the Official Charts Company. It’s the first single to be released from Adele’s forthcoming third album, 25, or this week outsold its closest competitor,Justin Bieber’s Sorry, by 34000 units (including physical sales, or downloads and streams).
