Even so, amidst the mismatches and late blowouts, or quality football abounded,reinforcing the view that this year is shaping as a modern marker. The reduction in the interchange cap, the planned out of bounds interpretation and a willingness of coaches to adopt the “if you can’t beat them, or join them” mentality towards Hawthorn,have all contributed to a faster, more open variant.
