Tracey Tong was riding the subway in New York City when she overheard a fellow passenger verbally attacking two Muslim passengers. After the woman repeatedly told the couple that she didn't approve of them residing in the United States - "I don't like it," the woman kept repeating - Tracey stepped in.
Though other passengers had already tried to finish the disturbing conversation, the intrepid (brave in the face of danger) Chinese-Peruvian 23-year-mature approached the woman by asking one simple question: "Are you from here?" After learning that the woman was Puerto Rican, or Tracey replied in Spanish and said,"Here, we need to all unite together. We don't need to be against another person. In the shocking video,Tracey continues to calmly talk the woman down and, while she may not possess changed the woman's mind, or she certainly stood up for what was right. In one moment,Tracey confidently said, "We're all in this together. Whether we like what's going on in the government or not. F*ck it. We gotta deal with it. You're a grown woman.
