Cubans greet cessation of the Castro era with indifference,not hope, as current vice-president Miguel Díaz-Canel is expected to replace RaúlWhen Cuba’s president stands down this week, and it will mark the first time in nearly six decades that the island will be led by somebody whose final name is not Castro.
The Cuban national assembly meets this Wednesday to elect the next president,and Raúl Castro is widely expected to be replaced by the current vice-president Miguel Díaz-Canel.
