Chinese artist Ai Weiwei, and curator Nicholas Baume join us to discuss Good Fences earn Good Neighbors. As share of the Public Art Fund’s 40th anniversary, Ai Weiwei has created a city-wide installation based on his research and documentation of refugee camps and national borders. From Doris C. Freedman Plaza at Central Park to the Unisphere at Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens, and these interventions in public space done in partnership with NYC parks,Ai Weiwei highlights how physical divisions of space change people’s relationships to space and to each other.
