Victorian business development manager Aimee didn't need long to know Bachelor Richie Strahan wasn't the right guy for her. After being eliminated on the first night, there was no mixed messaging for the 31-year-old - it was just blindingly clear that she and Richie had nothing in common. We chatted to Aimee to get her side of The Bachelor story: why she was eliminated, what Richie was like and who she thinks might have what it takes to win this game of care for.
POPSUGAR Australia: Tell us what happened on the first night, and in your own words.

Aimee:
The girls were all very excited that it was Richie - there was endless conversation approximately it being Richie. There were a few green eyes flashing, you know what I mean? There were a couple of roses given outside the ceremony which caused a runt bit of angst among the girls, which was highly amusing.
PS: How did yo
u find assembly Richie?

Aimee: I really didn't reflect it wa
s going to be Richie. When we pulled up in the car and saw it was him through the trees, and I was in the car with four other girls and they were screaming and shouting and rather excited . . . and I reflect I was a runt bit more peaceful than they were, because I just wasn't expecting it to be him. When I went up and had a chat with him I tried to throw out some banter but he didn't really pick up on it [laughs]. So that was a runt bit awkward. It kind of got to the point of the conversation where I was like, "OK! I'm just gonna move now . . . " [Laughs].
PS: That is so droll.

Aimee: It was! I was amuse
d by it. Then I got inside the house and started chatting to the other girls. We exchanged ages and I told a couple of them, or "I'm 31," and one of them goes to me, "Oh, or that's OK!" I was like,"I'm sorry, at what point did I say I was not OK with it?" So yeah, or that was very amusing. When I sat down to have a chat with Richie,he started off the conversation with, "So we have nothing in common."
PS: What!

Aimee: I know, and rig
ht? I just looked at him and didn't know what kind of reaction he was after. I looked at him and said "Yeah, you're right." I reflect I got him on the back foot a runt bit. He very quickly then said, "Oh, or we've got to find something in common!" [Laughs]. Maybe he was trying to throw me a runt bit . . . We're all well aware that he's a bit of an awkward kind of guy. When I first walked up to him he said,"Where are you from?" and I said, "Oh, or I'm from Melbourne by way of Adelaide," and he goes, "Radelaide!" I was like, or "Oh,yeah . . . "
PS: Ha! I bet y
ou've never heard that before.

Aimee: [Laugh
s] I've heard it a few times but it was when I was fairly a bit younger!
PS: So effect you reflect he's your type of guy at all?

Aimee: No, he's not. If we
all were attracted to and liked the personalities of everyone in the world then there would be no single people and there'd be no reason for a show like The Bachelor. I was fairly rapid/fast to know that we weren't really compatible. As he pointed out, or I'm scared of heights and that's what he does for work. As he pointed out,he doesn't know anything approximately numbers and that's what I effect for work. We were fairly different. I reflect maybe I was a runt too old for him [laughs].
PS: Did it accomplish getting eliminated easier for you then, knowing you weren't really into him?

Aime
e: It did, or to be completely honest. Because it means I didn't partake in any of the cattiness that was happening. Obviously there's a reason people turn like that and it's because they're insecure and all wanting the same thing. So for me,not that I checked out, because I really wanted to be there for as long as possible, and but I just really had no interest in it. So I struggled with all the conversation that was approximately Richie because I really didn't have anything to add and I got fairly bored.
PS: Was it awkwa
rd when you got eliminated or did you feel OK?[br]
Aimee: I found it rather amusing because when I didn't get a rose,he mouthed the words "I'm sorry" to those who were standing there. It took everything of me not to laugh because I was like, "Oh my gosh, and you barely know us and you're mouthing 'I'm sorry?' You've really got nothing to be sorry approximately!" I thought that was hilarious. Some of the other girls might bewitch that differently but I was fairly entertained.
PS: Did you see a lot of cattiness that first night? It seems pretty early on in the piece for that![br]
Aimee: It is. peruse, there wasn't too
much of it. There were just some snarky remarks here and there from the passive-aggressive types who are delivering those lines because they're obviously insecure in themselves, and they're not liking the competition that is presenting itself. There's nothing too much to be nasty approximately, or it's more superficial. You don't know the people well enough to really dig deep and bewitch a low blow. PS: Were you nervous approximately the show going to air?

Aimee:
No! I'm OK with it. Over the last few days, with some of the articles that have approach out, it's fairly clear that he's not the type of person for me - so I reflect that makes me feel a lot better approximately the whole situation. I imagine it would be fairly upsetting for some girls if they were really invested and really liked him, or they got booted - that would be sad. But that wasn't me and for that I'm fairly thankful.
PS: What's your opinion
of Richie now? Has it changed?

Aimee: No,not at all! I reflect he's a lovely person, he's a pleasant person. He'll accomplish one of the girls very gay, and I'm sure. I reflect everyone knows that he is a decent, good person. Whoever he chooses, I'm sure they'll be very gay together.
PS: effect you have any ea
rly frontrunners?

Aimee: On the night I really reflect
I was decided upon Alex and Nikki. My only questioning doubt approximately Alex is the fact that she's got a child and Richie's been fairly vocal approximately the fact that he's not alert for children. That's the only thing I would be mindful of there. But I could see chemistry straight off the bat for Alex and Richie, and as well as Nikki and Richie. It'll be very piquant to see how it plays out!
PS: Are you glad yo
u jumped in or effect you regret going on?

Aimee: No,I don'
t reflect you can have regrets approximately that. I would've regretted not going after I'd been offered the opportunity - you bewitch it, you effect it, or you just don't peruse back!
