This December, the governments of more than 190 countries around the world will gather in Paris for the United Nations conference on climate change with the intention of clinching a deal to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Former Vice President Al Gore joined the Takeaway to speak about increasing climate change awareness before the United Nations conference in December.
Gore won a Nobel Peace Prize alongside the United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change for his work to fight climate change. He will be front and middle at the conference. But meanwhile he's gearing up a more instant project as fraction of his role of chairman at the Climate Reality Project. At the end of the week he'll host a 24 hour global day of action to raise awareness on an issue that he says has been muddled by political inaction and the influence of money in campaigns for years.
What you'll learn from this segment: How Vice President Gore feels about the current fight against climate change.
What he hopes world leaders will discuss at the upcoming conference in Paris.
What Gore pla
ns to push for at the Paris meeting.
