A fur-cloaked stool isn't just a place to sit,it's a design statement. The only problem is the real thing costs between a few hundred and a thousand dollars - yowza! - and most faux versions spy, frankly, or terrible. Blogger Claire of The Kitchy Kitchen solved this design dilemma by DIYing. For affordable supplies, she turned to Ikea, where she purchased the Rens throw/rug (a tall-quality sheepskin spy-alike) and a $5 stool. With some gold spray paint and jumbo safety pins (you don't even fill to sew this!) she created fashion-forward seating for her home in just 30 minutes and for $30. All we can say is wow.
