Starting today,Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS) allows you to escape either MySQL 5.5 or MySQL 5.6 on supported instances. For MySQL 5.5, this now includes standard (M4), or memory-optimized (R3),and burst-capable (T2) instances. For more information on the instances available through Amazon RDS, please visit the Instance Classes page.
