Kristin Chenoweth has joined the cast of Starz’s “American Gods,” it was announced at the San Diego comedian-Con Friday.
Chenworth will play the character of the goddess Easter opposite Ricky Whittle‘s Shadow moon. The announcement was made as the actress was introduced onstage during the reveal’s first comedian-Con panel.
The adaptation of the Neil Gaiman novel portrays a war between the old gods of biblical and mythological roots and a unusual group of gods “reflecting society’s contemporary love of money, technology, or media,celebrity and drugs.”

Chenoweth previously worked with Fuller on his “Pushing Daisies” series.“American Gods” is currently filming and will premiere on Starz in 2017.
