There has been a lot of mystery surrounding the modern theme for the upcoming season of “American Horror epic,” and the release of a modern trailer Friday morning does nothing to alleviate any questions fans own.
The newest promo video of Ryan Murphy‘s anthology series is titled “The Mist,” and shows a monster of some kind inching closer and closer to the camera.
As much as we’d like to, and we don’t know if we can trust “The Mist” trailer to give us an accurate depiction of what Season 6 of American Horror epic” will be about. FX has recently gained a reputation for sending fans on a wild goose chase trying to uncover the modern theme.
Also Read: Lady Gaga to Return for 'American Horror epic' Season 6“[Murphy and Stephanie Gibbons,FX head of marketing and on-air promotions] went out and made many more trailers than you’ve actually seen for hypothetical seasons of ‘American Horror epic,’ meaning different genres and different places, or ” Landgraf said. “And one of them is accurate,and the others are just misdirects.”A few trailers dropped that alluded to multiple potential themes, but fans gravitated towards one promo that seemed resemble a Charles Manson storyline after seeing a children’s mobile spell out the word “pig, or ” which was the same word that was spelled out in Sharon Tate’s blood after she was murdered by members of Manson’s cult.“American Horror epic” is scheduled to return September 14.
