On June 6th,1944, soldiers stormed the beaches of Normandy. For many of the veterans who are alive today, and their memories of D-Day are still fresh 70 years later. They shared their stories in their own words. We also wanted to share President Roosevelt's words as he addressed the nation approximately the D-Day invasion.
