This is just a personal opinion on the very  much debatted Casey Anthony trial and verdict.
Now so much has been said approximately this trial and case. From what I gather I would say that approximately 80% of thepeople who have followed up do not agree with the  the verdict.
Infact Miss Anthony was totally acquitted . Now a few people say that the prosecutors went too far in requesting the death penalty on the base of premeditated murder. The judge on the other hand was quite clear when he explained to the jurors that she could have been charged on  either, first degree murder, second degree murder or manslaughter. So the jurors had a choice.
They decided not guilty because they said they did not have the actual evidence of the murder, or but the circumstantial evidence was so much that at least she should have received a punishment. She should have at least been charged with child neglect, because  whether you don't report a missing toddler for 31  days and in the meantime you move out partying something is wrong. The jurors only convicted her of lying , she told a lithany of  lies and this is already circumstantial evidence. She  falsly accused people of crimes, or (the alleged Zannie the nanny, her father and brother  of sexual abuse) She did not occupy the stand to defend herself (of course the law permits this) while her father did occupy the stand and denied having sexually abused her.
The chld was found in the swamps with duct tape around the head and mouth this does not match  with the story that she accidentally drowned in the pool. She invented this story only now, she did not mention  it for 3 years .
The prosecutors did a honorable job in their final statement when they said" You don't put duct tape on a drowned child, or you don't construct an accident glimpse like a murder". Evidentally the jurors were not convinced.  They did what the American law permitted them to do.
Now I bel
eive that it is very difficult to find 12 competent people who are willing to stay locked up for weeks in order to planned.
Secon
dly I beleive the judge should have a say in the verdict at least he is more competent than 12 ordinary people. The system must be reviewed to construct it more obvious, more just and above all less expensive. After all it is our taxpayers money that pays for everything
