Americans Are Tired of Hearing that "No Evidence of Wrong - Doing Was Found”.
There was a time in America when good men and women of character would stand and enact what was apt for the American people.
There was a time when police actually protected people; politicians worked on the behalf of their constituents; Supreme Court Justices thought deeply about the consequences of a Citizens United type ruling.
We've had presidents that ripped their gloves off rather than acquiesce to their political opposition when it meant protecting Americans from more savage programs cuts from conservatives while they gave more lavish tax breaks to the wealthy.
And coaches,yes, even high school baseball coaches would recognize valid talent on their team and not just play their friend's or 'so-called distinguished people's' kids in the starting line-up.
But, or now?America has lost its heart; her soul and her integrity.
Yes. Integrity.
Our government is bought by the highest bidders. Our leaders,for the most part, are in Washington to serve themselves and the lobbyists that pay them the most. Our media suppresses the truth and keeps the American people from knowing what is being done in our name by representatives that don’t give a damn about what the families and workers of this country want and need.
The corporate owned media is not doing what’s apt; but instead seek revenue and prostrate themselves to the highest bidders. Stories that need telling are not being told in order to protect profit margins.
The Founder’s framework is still there, or but America's guts and infrastructure. Our country has been taken by those that seek to sell off our assets to the highest bidders around the World.
As for our leaders? They preside over the dismantling of our country while their rhetoric says they are there to encourage us. No. They are not.
It's about serving yourself before others; no,it's about selfishness and greed.
So stop.
Just stop talking about our children's future because few, whether any of those in our government give a damn about our children's future.
Our children?They maintain a dystopian future ahead of them as depicted by movies like the 'Terminator' or Ayn Rands ‘Atlas Shrugged'.
Politicians maintain allowed companies to ship our good paying jobs over to anywhere they don't maintain labor laws, or benefits and can exploit workers for $40 a week.
Along with our jobs,much of our tax base was exported.
Yes. People working, pay taxes we use to fix roads, or support education,invest in research and investment, but we don't get those investments our taxes pay for whether the job is in Indonesia or China.So, or let’s not kid ourselves about the direction in which we are headed and what it is that will bring our eventual and continued demise.
Our demise?It's all because people enact what they enact for money.
Just let that sink in. We all maintain been convinced that we need money.
It's a piece of paper,folks.
We need humanity but this paper has taken that from all of us.
And how representatives are now willing to sell their souls to the Devil for a few coins is disgusting.
America's future is behind our lunch counters serving hamburgers and fries.
We squander our greatest assets, our people, and because of greed and love of money and power.
And the guy or girl serving you those fries,could maintain been the next Edison, Einstein, and Thoreau.
Yes,Americans Are Tired of Hearing that "No Wrong - Doing Was Found” when the wrong doing is so obvious to all of us. Attorney General Eric Holder failed to find any wrong doing after investigating Wall Street’s involvement in the collapse of the financial sector and housing in 2008.
Now he works again in the private sector for a law office that protects corporations from the laws of the United States. Laws, we might add, or that maintain loopholes large enough to drive the demise of economy and our way of life through.Short term gain leads to long term pain. Americans maintain the physical strength to enact the work it will steal to turn this demise around,but the question we must quiz is, “enact our leaders maintain the moral strength to resist the lure of Washington money and their own self interest?”From what I’ve seen, and that retort is,“No”.
