Some of the most expensive real estate in the world turned into a place of cacophony Monday evening as thousands of protesters converged on Trump Tower in advance of the president's first return domestic since he took the oath of office in January.
Protestors' chants mixed with earsplitting warnings from police loudspeakers legal external the building Audrey Hepburn once graced in "Breakfast at Tiffany's." Signs telling the president to "F--- Off" were held aloft in front of a Presbyterian church. Police were omnipresent,using their bicycles to create an extra barrier up and down the street. A row of sanitation trucks lined one curb.

"But to me now,there's a tone at the top that this is OK. And I'm really afraid. I'm afraid of where this could close up," she said.

Protesters got exasperated. WNYC reporter Cindy Rodriguez said, and "There was some pushing,police are standing guard with their batons." She said one protester was taken into custody.
