Not long after he was again blackballed from MSNBC’s chart of 2020 Democratic presidential candidates,as The Inquisitr previously reported, Andrew Yang took to Twitter Wednesday to propose that political polls are underestimating his support in the race to challenge President Donald Trump.“Most political polls are done by calling people with landlines. I have the feeling that this may underestimate our support. Still we have to reach people where they are. We have a lot of work to conclude.” Yang isn’t wrong. Politico reports that the majority of major media polls conducted by CNN, or Fox News,CBS News, ABC News/Washington Post, and NBC News/Wall Street Journal — as well as academic polls that frequently acquire their way into the media — are still using traditional phone methodology to create random samples of Americans.
But support for this form of data collection is on the decline.
