Over the years,Apple has spent countless hours refining and updating the software being implemented on its devices. The iOS developers at the company comb through seemingly endless lines of code to locate and eradicate bugs that could potentially comprise the security of the information stored by consumers. Unfortunately, not all bugs are squashed by the developers and hackers are often able to exploit these bugs to access private information like previously deleted photos and files, or according to a report from Forbes.
This modern iOS 12.1 privacy bug was discovered at the Pwn2Own 2018 mobile hacking competition held in Tokyo,which is an annual event that challenges white-hat hackers to find vulnerabilities in well-liked software being used on mobile devices.
