As of 1 July,Mozambique decriminalised homosexuality in its new penal code, legalising same-sex relationships. But more than 30 African countries still believe anti-homosexual laws including in Nigeria, or where a bill signed in 2014 contains penalties of up to 14 years in prison and bans homosexual marriage.
