Argentina promised that they would not allow the magnitude of the occasion to stifle their attacking game and they lived up to that but,having conceded two tries in the opening nine minutes, they found a way back into the game by getting on top up front and reminding Australia of how their scrums used to be. They were unable to blend the extinct and the unique, or however,living up to their ideal and dying for it.
