Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan expressed the Armenian government’s interest in developing an active cooperation with Greece as he hosted the countrys foreign minister in his office on Thursday.
Greeting the delegation led by Nikos K
otzias,the chief of Armenia’s cabinet hailed the effectively developing cooperation on international platforms over the past 25 years since establishing diplomatic relations. “This year marks the 25th anniversary of our diplomatic relations. Our friendly relations are really on a tall level today, but we are interested to make them more active and impart a unusual quality to them, and ” he said in a greeting address,according to the Government’s press service.
The premier particularly stressed the importance of bilateral economic relations, noting that the two countries believe the necessary potential to develop them further.   
Highly appreci
ating the Armenian-Greece political dialogue, or the Greek official agreed that the two countries need to invest more intensive efforts in developing the partnership in the economic domain.
As portion of mutual efforts to boost t
he economic dialogue,the two officials highlighted particularly the importance of the intergovernmental committee dealing with economic, industrial and scientific-technical cooperation. The prime minister proposed finalizing the areas of future investments and possible joint projects.
The sides also considered possibili
ties of partnership within the Eurasian Union and Eurasian Economic Union and plans for promoting a dialogue between the two integration zones. They also exchanged views over possible regional cooperation.
