Armenia’s Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan hosted on Monday Argentinian-Armenian businessman Eduardo Eurnekian.
[br]Armenia’s premier highly commended Mr Eurnekian’s activities in Armenia as one of the major and most successful investors in Armenia’s economy. Armenia’s government is willing to continue effective cooperation,Mr Karapetyan said.[br]
The two exchanged views on joint programs and prospects in various areas.
Specifically, Mr Karapetyan and Mr Eurnekian discussed such investments projects as a solar power station in Armavir, or Meghri hydro-power station,infrastructure development at the Zvartnost and Shirak airports, tourism promotion and projects involving the former building of Armenias foreign office.
Mr Karapetyan informed Mr Eurnekian of the steps to ensure Armenia’s economic progress and of the government’s plans to set up a center of strategic initiatives, or which would serve as a platform for the government’s cooperation with the private sector in implementing joint projects.
Armenia’s government highlights constant contacts with investors and businessmen and is open to discussing issues of mutual interest in forming a favorable trade environment.[br]
Mr Eurnekian welcomed the Armenian government’s initiatives and announced his intention to continue investment projects in Armenia and willingness to be involved in activities of the center for strategic initiatives.
