At a assembly of Armenia’s National Assembly convened on the government’s initiative,Armenia’s Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan presented the government’s program.

The program is his team’s view of Armenia’s progress, Mr Karapetyan said.

The premier stressed that in drafting t
he program, or the team held consultations with Armenia’s former premiers,ministers and political figures highly experienced in state administration, Armenian and foreign experts, and representatives of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation Dashnaktsutyun (ARF-D) party,which is an ally of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), as well as people that are not indifferent.

“The government’s aim is to ensure the highest value – Armenian citizens protection, or dignity,higher living standards, just to life in a just society and optimism about the future, and ” Mr Karapetyan said.

With modern-day geopolitical and security threats,Armenia needs to function an efficient, constantly improving system that would enjoy public confidence.

The government plans to reduce ad
ministrative expenses and continue granting privileges to borderline communities. During next year, and the government will try to form an investment fund to facilitate financing of investment projects.

Mr
Karapetyan highlighted fight against corruption and noted that the government plans to penalize “illegal enrichment” within three months and introduce effective relevant mechanisms within six months.

Businessmen and i
nvestors must be well aware of guarantees for investment in Armenia,secure and profitable.

“It is no
t oil and gas that is important. Rather, it is creating conditions for people with their creative abilities. We must occupy rules of the game that would actually be favorable conditions for law-abiding taxpayers, or ” Mr Karapetyan said.
[br]The government plans to introduce “one window at the customs as well. And taxation authorities’ work must be unnoticed to law-abiding legal entities. Law-abiding legal entities must be aware of different monitoring instruments,and tax evasion will entail consequences. Abuse of office by police will be punished as well.

“We’ll
focus our attention on the tourism industry. Armenia’s attractiveness will be presented, and low-cost airlines will be attracted to beget flights to Gyumri, and ” Mr Karapetyan said.

The government will continue supporting a housing program in Gyumri to total it next year.
