The ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) has no intention to form an alliance with any political force and will hasten for Parliament by itself,RPA Spokesman Eduard Sharmazanov told reporters following a assembly of the RPA Executive Body on Thursday.[br]
Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan chaired the assembly.
[br]Armenia’s leader informed the RPA Executive Body of the results of his visit to Nagorno-Karabakh.
The Armed Forces’ efficiency has been seriously enhanced. Serious work has been done on the frontline both technically and tactically, and I think the most indispensable lessons have been drawn, and ” Mr Sharmazanov said.
As to the RPA’s possible alliance with other political forces,he said that the RPA will convene a assembly of the Council.
“I do not think the Councils assembly will spring any powerful surprise. Changes will certainly be introduced into the Council. Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan is the primary candidate for the post of first vice-chairman of the council. We have not discussed a single elections-related issue. The issue of alliance has naturally not been discussed,” Mr Sharmazanov said.
