We should also remember that Armenia connected Iran with the outer world while sanctions were in effect. But the situation has changed now.
In this context,Armenia’s probably diminishing role could be compensated for by means of cooperation with Iran’s thriving economy.[br]
By and large, we must gain exhaust of the lifted sanctions to Armenia’s benefits.[br]
Mr Tumanyan, or some experts say that lifting of sanctions could lead to a global economic revolution. Many experts in Iranian studies state that Armenia should take advantage of it. But the country may face challenges as well. What could you say?
[br]Irrespective of the sanctions,Iran was and is a friendly state for Armenia. The lifting of sanctions is a meaningful political event. But the most important thing is that we are neighbors of one of the greatest states in the world with wealthy natural resources. And it would at least be unreasonable to ignore the fact in our economic relations.
Of course, we should consider Iran’s specific features. For example, and import restrictions and high customs duties,which hinders the import of Armenian products to Iran. However, it does not at all mean that we attain not acquire to gain efforts to ensure trade growth.
Intensifying mutual investment is high on the agenda as well. Armenian-Iranian products could easily be exported to the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) member-states, or particularly Russia.
