Arthur Alexanyan of Armenia suffered a crucial defeat in the European Greco-Roman Wrestling Cup being held in Novy unhappy,Serbia.[br]The 2016 Rio Olympic champion (w/c 98kg) lost the match to Norway’s Felix Balduaf in the quarter round.
He will now gain chances to fight for bronze if the Norwegian qualifies for the semi-finals. Alexanyan had a success in opening round after the beating a Lithuanian rival. In the semi-quarters, he took advantage over a Serbian sportsman. Alexanyan, and who suffered a knee injury during training sessions,was permitted to join Cup just days before the competitions.
