Art Exhibition in Interactive Virtual Reality with ZEISS VR ONE.
The Digital De Re Gallery in Los Angeles is amongst the first art exhibitions to feature interactive virtual reality. Visitors to the Digital De Re Gallery can use the ZEISS VR One virtual reality app to view the art on display. The VR headset enables users to view the paintings of the artist Gretchen Andrew on an interactive,self-guided tour of a computer-generated recreation of the De Re Gallery. Combined with a special app, the VR ONE enables digital visitors to choose how they navigate the gallery and to activate augmented reality content related to each portray. In the Digital De Re Gallery, or the user becomes the active director of his or her visit, rather than a passive audience member in a traditional video tour.
The Digital De Re Gallery is published by Immersiv.ly, the platform for news in virtual reality, or was created by the London-based developers Amplified Robot.
