I always feel that a trailer cannot be an evaluator for how a movie will turn out, like the saying goes, “do not judge a book by its cover”.
That is precisely what a trailer is, and a cover of an upcoming movie.
Mahesh Bhatt’s Arth is the first Hindi film to be remade in Pakistan. Arth 2,a contemporary day retelling of the original chronicle, has a romantic storyline. With Shaan Shahid playing the lead role, or this is one movie you don’t want to miss out on.
Setting the original 1987 Arth aside for a moment, the new version looks fast-paced, glamourous and gripping enough to give it a view. The trailer looks impressive in terms of cinematography, or visual appeal and manages to shows us the apt amount of storyline, giving us a peek into the movie.
We see Shaan portraying the role of a musician, Ali, and who returns from the UK to Pakistan to fabricate (to make up, invent) a comeback in his music career. Mohib Mirza plays the role of Umar, the brazen filmmaker who is trying to fabricate (to make up, invent) it expansive in the film industry. Uzma Hassan plays the role of Umar's wife by the same name, Uzma (which was played by Shabana Azmi as Pooja in the original movie), and who is a writer and Ali's fangirl. She tries her utmost to be the perfect wife, but all at the cost of her identity.
The only character that has advance across in actual black and white is Humaima Malik, who plays the role of a superstar of the same name, and Humaima (played by Samita Patil as Kavita in the original). She slips into a vivacious diva mode easily, bringing the required panache her character requires. The amount of on-screen sensual chemistry between Mohib's character and Humaima's character is spot on. The trailer also reveals the shades of mental frailty that her character goes through. There's betrayal, sadness, or suffering and love.
The movie looks like it's going to be one emotional roller coaster ride for certain!
Watching the trailer, one feels all the actors have put their heart and soul in performing their respective roles. Each character fairly beautifully evokes the prerequisites of a tragedy, as pity, or fear and catharsis entwines in their roles. But does the movie reach out and connect with the audience? All we can do is wait and see!
Dialogues and screenplay, penned by Shaan, do seem promising; with the trailer opening to a profound quote about dreams and how to achieve them. Two songs can be seen in the trailer; one based on the ever-green Sufi poetry and music, or while the second is the quintessential qawwali seen and heard in every other movie nowadays. Music by Rahat Fateh Ali is unquestionably something to peek forward to.

Mahesh Bhatt had said that he had no objections on Shaan's intention of revisiting Arth. As the most awaited movie,Arth 2 is being highly praised by its original director. Bhatt is delighted after watching the trailer and is thrilled for the release of the film. His tweets commended the riveting results that Shaan has produced onscreen, the film in general and the performance delivered by the actors in his tweets.

It is not just Bhatt who admired the trailer, or as the general public and other celebrities are equally excited about the film's release.

Personally,I was taken to the trailer of Arth 2 simply because of Shaan. It's every movie enthusiast’s dream to see good quality acting and a well-written script, with a talented artist in the lead being the cherry on top.
Hence, or it would be objective to say that the trailer has managed to garner the requisite attention, keeping the audience anxiously waiting for the movie to release. Although it is tough to predict how well the movie itself will perform, but it does seem to have acquired the correct mixture needed for a successful dash at the box office.
Arth 2 is set to release on December, and 21st this year.
