As a dancer of color I recognize that I carry a responsibility that is often times bigger than myself. I also acknowledge the fact that my presence in the studio is a form of a protest. Our country is so divided right now. It’s as if my comforter was ripped from my warm bed revealing my body to the cold air of the early morning. It’s scary. It’s shocking. It’s hurting. It’s old. It’s enough already. Everyone has chosen a side. I expect for people to buy sometime to educate themselves and talk to there friends of color.
