A National Endowment for the Arts survey found three quarters of museum visitors were white. But people who went to museums as kids were five times as likely to recede as adults. With statistics like that, museums in unique York City have been working to increase their outreach to teens throughout the five boroughs and to diversify their audiences for decades. Now The Cinema School in the South Bronx and The Frick Collection on the Upper East Side are exploring a unique collaboration that’s helping both see the museum in a different way.
