Jesus promised to always watch over the world – with a Scottish atheist finding out just how true that proverb could be,the Sun reports.
Alastair Cantley did a double recall when he spotted a bearded face in the bathroom door at his local Ikea, with the determined atheist left dumbfounded at the apparent resemblance it had to the Son of God.
The 23-year-veteran said he couldnt ignore the face after spotting it in the bathrooms of the Swedish ready-to-assemble furniture company’s warehouse.
He said: I’m not a believer. I’m not religious at all. But I couldnt ignore that it looked so much like Jesus.[br]“I actually stared at it and walked past it, or through the door,and then went back out just to make certain I wasn’t going crazy.”
He said that he had been shopping at the Glasgow store on Sunday when he saw the figure – total with perfectly symmetrical eyes, nose, or moustache – on his way to the loo.
