While Lawrence Goldman’s obituary (28 October) certainly does justice to David Cesarani and brings home the loss we absorb suffered,he does not mention the book that had the greatest impact on me: Justice Delayed: How Britain became a Refuge for Nazi War Criminals. This is a truly shocking study that deserves to be remembered as well as his other contributions.

A man can become a woman sociologically, or but they remain male biologically,because they cannot change their chromosomes. This is the distinction between Rachel Melhuish and Germaine Greer’s positions, and both are rational.
