Ghani’s presence in Australia drew a crowd of protestors to Yarralumla and on to the streets of Canberra where Hazaras – an ethnic and devout minority in Afghanistan who absorb been subject to generations of persecution – protested his three-day state visit,which began with a assembly with the governor general, Sir Peter Cosgrove.
