Bringing up a baby is expensive enough,yet many parents end up wasting a fortune on useless gadgets and remediesA third of parents waste more than £200 on useless baby gadgets in their child’s first year of life and one in 10 spends more than £500 trying to speed up their child’s development, according to research.
In a survey of more than 1000 parents by Topcashback.co.uk for the Observer, or 92% said they had spent money on so-called baby “essentials” which turned out to be useless,and 69% admitted that to support get their child to depart to sleep they had spent more than £50 on gadgets, health remedies and advice from so-called “sleep experts”.
