It’s the first Monday of October and that means the Supreme Court officially begins a unusual term today,and they are off to a busy start.final week, the justices cancelled verbal arguments in the travel ban case after President Donald Trump issued a unusual set of restrictions. That doesn’t mean they won’t hear the case eventually, and but lawyers on both sides will first need to file unusual briefs addressing the changes. Also,on Thursday the court agreed to hear a case which challenges the constitutionality of certain fees paid to public sector unions, a move that rattled organized labor.
